Applications open for online TV series and trading competition with £100,000 cash prize

City Index Group, a leading global provider of retail trading services, including Spread Betting (UK only), Contracts for Difference (CFDs) and margined foreign exchange (FX) is proud to announceCity Index Trading Academy, an innovative new online TV series and competition which will demonstrate that, with the education and support offered by City Index, anyone can learn to trade the global markets.
The competition will take place over six weeks as eight traders battle it out to win a fantastic cash prize of £100,000*.
The series will be broadcast online in an interactive environment allowing the audience to trade along with contestants. It will be syndicated on YouTube and across the internet via premium online media partners.
Beginning 6 September 2012, City Index is inviting the best aspiring traders from around the UK, from seasoned pros to those with no financial experience. Eight lucky applicants will be selected and given an opportunity that could change their lives.
Deadline for applications is 23.59 BST on 24 September 2012. Applicants must be available for weekly filming for eight weeks beginning with October 9th 2012.
Selected traders will be invited to London and given instruction by leading market analysts. They will embark on a six-week journey, learning new skills each week as they face trading challenges in different live markets.
Traders will be judged based on their notional profits and losses on a live test account, as well as their use of new principles, and will face elimination by the judging panel each week. In the final week, surviving traders will go head to head to win £100,000*.
